The Insult: I am proud enough of myself now to say that I am in fact a plus size woman. I am healthy, but I am by no means skinny, and do you want to know my secret? I’ve only dated one guy that was “fat” in my life. I am much more attracted to skinny men, and I get more compliments from the skinny boys than I do the bigger guys. A contradiction?
Only on television!
My problem is that this television show is making people watching, especially the younger generation, the ignorant, the mean, and those people that’re still trying to be the Queen Bees they were in High School believe the common misconception that fat girls can only date fat guys. So, here’s my dish, ladies and gents; my boyfriend, whom I love very much and who loves me back just as much, is SKINNY. Like, it’s almost a little ridiculous (I love you! ^^;) and heyyy…. Remember my blog title? Sincerely, the Fat Girl??
I’M A FAT GIRL!
I don’t generally date fat guys.
Dear television producers,
Stop being douche bags.
“More to Love” is not, in any real way, showing anyone who is plus size a compliment. I’d like to write to the idiots at the television station and let them know just how I feel, but really, what would that accomplish?
I wrote this because one, my boyfriend really thought I should. Even he’s claimed to be slightly offended by the show, and two, because who the hell cares what size someone is? If you’re in love, you’re in love. Big, small, short, tall, skinny, fat, whatever.
Give it a rest for Pete’s sake!!!
Sincerely,
The Fat Girl
